What are Yes We Candles™?
As seen on TV, Yes We Candles™ are a very special collection of clean burning, magnificent scented, made in the USA, essential oil candles which presently are available in three signature fragrances. They are made to commemorate the Inauguration of our 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama and furthermore, to help in the fight against breast cancer. With a catchy name and a devotional message, there comes an even more symbolic meaning behind the lights--the ability of two entrepreneurs from completely different backgrounds who believed that they could work together to make a change in the lives of someone who brought so much change into their very own lives--their Mothers.
Attention followers: We will have a banner outside of both the "Today Show" (7-8 AM), and "Live! With Regis & Kelly" (9-10 AM) today on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009! If you look at the top right of our banner you will see a special code after the letters "CC: " to type in the Store Checkout where you will receive a special 10% discount on your first candle order (irregardless of quantity)! If you miss it, please ask a family member or friend if they can get the show on TiVo, VCR, VideoTape, DvR, or DVD as we will not be showing that code again :-)!
It all started when two lighthearted entrepreneurs from unique backgrounds, and not to mention age, came up with a meaningful idea. 23 year old African-American college student, Hassan Bundu-Kamara and 59 year old Filipino-American scientist, Manuel Bernardo knew that they were onto something but didn't realize their idea would turn into something much more remarkable. Hassan's Mother presently suffers from breast cancer. Manuel's 92 year old frail Mother is under 24/7 care for her medical conditions. They both knew that they needed to do something to help their ailing parents but weren't quite sure what that thing was. With motivation in hand, faith by their side, and their God-given talents they believed that they could make a difference in the lives of their families and the people around them by venturing together into the promise of a Renewed America--The Renewed America brought about by our actions, our courage, our motivation, and our willingness to change.
